Dear Fox Valley United Way Community,
In 1922, a group of concerned and kind-hearted citizens banded together to form the Aurora Social Services Federation. Their goal: to launch fund drives that would provide for the neediest in their community.
Ninety years later, we have the privilege of celebrating those early philanthropists who laid the foundation for what became Fox Valley United Way. By freely giving of their resources, time and talent, they launched a mission that now grants support to 54 nonprofit agencies serving 15 communities.
Each day we witness how our founders' spirit lives on in their work of our partner agencies, donors and volunteers. It is because of their tireless efforts that Fox Valley United Way continues to make an impact in the lives of people in need.
As we look forward to the next 90 years, we do so with tremendous gratitude for those who care, and with a passionate resolve to continue to promote lasting change in our community.
